About the talks

The Art & Computer Science talks were started in 2018, with the aim to offer a platform where the potential of the combination of art and computer science can be presented and discussed. As computer scienence is a broad field, the intention to is cover as many different mediums and topics from art that are connected to computer science. So far there were talks about AI, surveillance, quantum computing, social media, blockchain and many more topics. As it is a very fast-moving field, the talks' goal is to offer different perspectives and show how artists investigate new technologies.

From 2018 - 2024, we were generously hosted by the Game Technology Center.
From 2026 onwards, we are hosted by the Institute of Visual Computing through Prof. Olga Sorkine-Hornung's Interactive Geometry Lab.
